The maker

My name is Tiffany Thomsen, and I am the woman behind all the designs and makings of Tiff's Timber Co. I started making in January 2021 as a hobby and with some faith it quickly flourished into a busy side hustle. I love creating custom pieces for my customer's needs, especially nursery, wedding and business signs.

I'm now in my seventh year of my career; teaching physical education to elementary children. I'm also finishing up studying to obtain a Masters in Human Kinetics and Recreation. Sports, physical activity and health in general has always been in the forefront of my priorities, interests and time since I was a child. A lot of my motivation and perseverance stems from my experiences as a hockey player.

I have had a pile of creativity built up in my brain for years and didn't know which avenue I wanted to take to release that. I can honestly say I have finally found my niche. I started out scroll sawing everything and realized how much more I could offer by adding a laser to my lineup. It has been a nerve racking step up, but I'm on a roll with it now and I'm so happy I did it!
